OFFICESPACE - INTERESTING WORKSTATIONS
portable work station concept (interesting, they got one thing right - plenty of storage).
a portable office workstation by Planet 3 Studios Architecture Pvt. Ltd that consists of 2 desks, a decent amount of desktop real estate and a ton of storage space (watch video).
Solitaire Workstation (good simple design, not ergonomic though) is a project by Alexander Lotersztain, and as you can see is a a table and a chair that look like the “G” letter. A beautiful piece of furniture that is excelent for small places, and if you want to use the whole power of the Solitaire Workstation you can use the space under the seat to store some books like in the first picture.
Globus Mobile (a good sample of stupid design - theres no such thing as a paperless )
The Globus Mobile is a complete office workstation and chair hidden in a large ball. The concept by designer Michiel van der Kley can be moved to any place using its hidden wheels. When you want to work, you just swivel it open and bingo: you can slot in a laptop, perch on the padded chair and think up as many chicken-and-egg or ping-pong ball jokes as you like.
yet another hyped concept...
Eclipse Office Partitioning System is private workstation concept
a discrete, adaptable office cubicle by Marcus Ward Curran; although envisaged as living in the average office environment. Sliding mesh segments allow you to close off some or all of your immediate surroundings, while built-in peripherals such as speakers, a webcam and power supply mean the computer is integrated to the system. As suggested in the video, the hood section could change colour according to mood or task, while the whole thing is on casters for ease of movement.
- totally impractical, toy for bigtime ceos only.
